US National Issues

Post by Jason on 27th June 2010, 4:06 pm

For a merit badge I'm working on I have to write to one of my state's senators about a national issue. I have a couple ideas, like the G20 meetings or illegal immigration, but I think I want more ideas. Got any thoughts?

national issued probably don't involve the World Cup...

The oil spill? Um... I DON'T want to say healthcare, regardless of plenty of people's problems.

The economy. Start there, you'll be going for a while... *cough*

In all honesty, I like Obama, so I don't want to fight...

Hope the ideas help.

How about abortion? Or the forcing of Homosexual agenda on our public schools?

You know, little second grade books called "Sarah has two mommies" or whatever. I know that's not forcing, but....... I'd rather not talk about it though.

I've never heard of such books...
I don't think homosexuality is wrong, and I don't think its right. I think people should be aware and taught about such things.

A reason why it makes me annoyed that public schools with blatantly teach evolution, but not creation. I learned about evolution in my private schools. I know there is separation of church and state, but that doesn't happen, yet someone draws the line... its a jumbled mess.

Just wondered... I never thought it was forced I guess.
