Re: There And Back

Post by Whitty Whit on 17th September 2013, 9:47 pm

Hebrews 9:27 wrote:And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Once you die, God judges you. I had more to say about this that I thought about when I posted earlier, I just can't remember what they were... Aha, I remembered.

Heaven is the dwelling place of God. God is holy, which means he can not sin nor can he have sin in his place. If we entered into heaven, (A) we are in a "non-sinful" or "glorified" body, or (B) we are still in our corruptible, sinful flesh. B can not be true, otherwise God would not be God. So A is true. If we are in a glorified body to be in heaven, what would happen when we returned to earth? Would we be (A) in the glorified sinless body, or (B) become sinful again? Once we are saved from sin and receive our heavenly, glorified bodies, it is impossible for us to become sinful again. So B is false, and A is true. So would we be frolicking around Earth in our sinless bodies? But that's not where my point lies. The verse above says that once we die, we are judged. That's it, that's the end. Once we are judged, we enter heaven for eternity. We will worship God for eternity. Now if we want to get all nitty-gritty and semantical about it, we don't technically enter "Heaven" per se, just like unsaved when they die, they don't go to the "lake of fire". Believers go to "Paradise", which is the counterpart to "Hades", the waiting place before the lake of fire. Believers will go to heaven after the millennial reign on earth after the tribulation.

But that's another topic.

Make sense?
