Exercise Log Thread

Post by Renae on 1st June 2013, 1:45 pm

This is where you post what exercises you completed for the CC Exercise Contest. Very Happy

Okay, here's what I've got so far:

June 1: Half hour of Disc Golf.

June 2: One hour of yard work (mostly pushing the lawn mower).

My running total so far: 90 Min. No pun intended. (running total? get it?)

Over two days, that's an average of forty-five minutes a day, which is fiteen minutes a day over my daily goal.

Post by Sunshine on 3rd June 2013, 12:32 pm

I feel so pathetic, as I barely managed to achieve my goal, nearly dying of stomach cramps by the time I finished yesterday. =P
June 1 - Average of 15 minutes of walking (nothing else)
June 2 - 5 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 200 jumping jacks.

@Sko: I didn't realize that doing a push mower can qualify as walking (it makes sense, I just didn't realize). I'm really glad you mentioned that, because I was wondering if I could work that into my goal. happy dance

I wouldn't exactly call it walking... more like an uphill struggle to master a machine. Mad

But yeah, great exercise! Very Happy

EDIT:

June 3: 30 minutes of "workout" (push-ups, jumping jacks, sprinting, the like), and 60 minutes of Disc Golf.

I was actually more tired after the half-hour workout than the hour of disc golf.

Total for the day: 90 minutes.
Running total so far: 180 Minutes

June 4: 30 minute assorted workout of pain. Very Happy

June 5: 30 minute AWoP, plus thirty minutes of disc golf.

Running total: 270 minutes, average of 54 minutes per day.

I'd say I'm doing better than my goal. I'm glad I stuck with half an hour, and not a whole hour, though.

Exercising your ability to chew? Wink Wonder if that counts... By the way, it'll probably help Renae if we post in terms of time for when she factors payment.

June 7: One and a half hours pushing the lawn mower. That was enough for me. Smile

Running total: 390 minutes.

June 8: Disc Golf, one hour.

June 9: Disc Golf, one hour. Using a heavyweight (170g) driver, now.

Running total: 510 minutes.

I'd say I'm meeting my goal. I'm going to push my "standard" workout to 45 minutes instead of half an hour, too. I do that when I have nothing better, and I think Disc Golf counts as better. Smile

Yes, thank you for mentioning that, Bren. For all of you who posted only how many exercises you did, I won't be able to evaluate how many seashells you should get because the system works on a time factor. So..it might be best if you change those posts to amounts of time you spent exercising!

Also, if you have notice in Sko's last post, he has also written an assessment of how well he is doing in comparison to his goal. This is because we have established that unless you do this you do not qualify for the two seashell option. You can read all about it in the CC Exercise Contest thread. Yes

Over the past week, I've done a total of 2 hours rollerblading, which meets my goal.

I timed it last night, and my 100 sit-ups and 50 push-ups surprisingly takes only 6 minutes! =o

And the 2 miles of walking can be converted to an hour and a half. Wink

@Renae: So sorry to make it confusing by logging my progress like that.  I slacked off the rest of the week anyway, so it doesn't really matter about last week.  I'll try to log my time amounts this week.  (:

June 11: One hour in a pool. I love summer. Very Happy

Today I'm going to do a 45-minute workout after I each lunch. So, I'll see how that goes.

June 12: 45 minute workout. I didn't die of exhaustion. Very Happy

Running total: 645 minutes.

So, I'd say that if I keep up 45 minutes instead of a half hour, I'll be pretty well situated above my goal. I think I'm doing pretty well. But, I just had to graph it to prove it to myself...

I really can't see a pattern, but at least now I have proof that I'm above my goal.

This graph shows a visual comparison of what I've done next to how much my goal has required so far. I love graphs. Smile
