Libya

Should the U.S. interfere with Libya. We aren't the worlds police force so do not think troops should go in

I believe that we should. However I believe that we need to go in remove Gaddafi get them stable and then not stay. That should only take 5 or 600 Marines. Besides there's already 1200 on bases in greece that we just sent there.

I agree that if we do attack we have to get rid of Gaddafi. But if we do attack we have to declare war. I also think it should have to go past Congress. (Which it didn't do.)

An action by the Marines doesn't have to go through Congress. If there is a real viable threat to peace and democracy anywhere in the world the President can just send them.

Just thought this was great. Doesn't exactly pertain, though.

I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC; THAT I WILL BEAR TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE TO THE SAME AND THAT I WILL OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE ORDERS OF THE OFFICERS APPOINTED OVER ME, ACCORDING TO THE REGULATIONS AND THE UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE. SO HELP ME GOD.

That's the Marine oath. I don't see anything about taking out dictators. I just don't think we should risk lives.

A dictator is a foreign threat to everything that the nation stands for...and while yes the risking of loves should never happen in this world sometimes its necessary and enables the gospel to actually be spread places where Missionaries even underground aren't making progress...
